Duke to attempt world record by building largest cardboard fort
The construction of the recycled cardboard fortress is expected to take up to 3,500 cardboard boxes.
Duke University employees and students will spend 12 hours on Friday attempting to break the world record for the largest cardboard fortress.
The boxes were collected from academic buildings and during student move-in, according to the university.
People can watch the construction process, which will begin at 9 a.m. and go until 9 p.m., on the West Campus quad in front of Duke Chapel.
