UNC researcher named National Academy of Education Fellow

Kihyun Kelly Ryoo, an assistant professor of learning sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is one of 25 chosen as a 2014-2015 National Academy of Education Fellow.

She's been awarded $55,000 for the post-doctoral fellowship, funded by a grant from the Spencer Foundation.

Ryoo's research focuses on technologies to support English learners and language minority students trying to grasp complex scientific concepts.
