Hillsborough weighs food truck changes
HILLSBOROUGH - The Hillsborough Board of Commissioners will hear public comment about potential changes to the town’s food truck ordinance Monday at 7 p.m. in the Town Barn, 101 E. Orange St.
Potential changes to the mobile food vendor ordinance would allow vendors to operate on private property in the historic district on a regular basis and would extend the hours that food trucks are allowed from an 8 p.m. end time to 9 p.m. The trucks would not be permitted to operate longer than 10 hours in any day.
The request for the changes came from the owners of Maggie’s Hot Tin Roof, a bar in the former Hillsborough Plumbing building on West Margaret Lane.
