| Monsein-Staebler |

Ms. Jennifer Monsein and Dr. Andreas Staebler were married at 5:30 p.m. March 22, 2008 at Ritz-Carlton Hotel in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands.
The bride is the daughter of Lee & Donna Monsein of Durham.
The bridegroom is the son of Manfred & Rose Staebler of New Bern.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Stephanie Monsein Walsh. Best man was the brother of the bridegroom, Thomas Staebler.
The bride graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2004. She is employed by Durham Public Schools as a 6th grade Language Arts Teacher. The bridegroom also graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2004 and UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine in May of 2008.
He is employed by VCU Hospital as a Physician.
After the honeymoon in Europe, the couple will reside in Richmond, Virginia.

| Nininger-Finch - Tuttle |

Catherine Nininger-Finch and Marcus Stephen Tuttle II were married at 4:30 p.m. on April 19, 2008 at The Long View Center in Raleigh. The very Reverend Salvatore A. Busichio officiated. The bride is the daughter of Susan M. Nininger and Dr. & Mrs. James W. Finch of Durham.
The bridegroom is the son of Marcus & Jo Tuttle of Shelby, N.C.
The maid of honor was Martha Virginia Barfield. Other bridal attendants were Lauren Ives Bingenheimer, Merritt Atkins Brinkley, Jeanne Elizabeth Lee, Annelise Nininger-Finch, Erin Ann Ritter and Samantha Joan Snyder.
The best man was Matthew Lemuel Tuttle; groomsmen were Carl David Alexander, William Daniel Amburn, Benjamin Thomas Buskirk, Christopher Scott Dozier, Joshua Austell Harrill and Christopher Hyatt Small.
A reception was held at The Capital City Club.
The bride graduated from CE Jordan High School in 1999, and NC State University in 2003. She is employed by Duke University’s The Fuqua School of Business as the Assistant Director for Career Programs.
The bridegroom also graduated from NC State University. He is employed by Bovis Lend Lease as a Project Manager. After honeymooning in St. Lucia the couple now resides in Raleigh.

Mr. & Mrs. Marcus Guy Carpenter, III of Durham, announce the engagement of their daughter, Abigail Anne to David Alexander Kartzinel.
The bride-elect graduates May 17 from Union University in Tenn. She plans to teach High School History.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Dr. & Mrs. Jerrold Kartzinel of Ponte Vedra, Fla. He also graduates May 17 from Union University. He plans to pursue his Masters of divinity at Columbia International University in S.C.
They plan a June 28, 2008 wedding at First Baptist Church in Durham.

The bride-elect graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College. She is employed by Durham Regional Hospital as a Registered Nurse. The prospective bride groom is the son of Dr. & Mrs. William Elwood Garrett, Jr. of 821 Hopkins Rd. Bahama. He graduated from North Carolina State University. He is employed by Garrett Builders as an Owner & General Contractor. They plan a September 20, 2008 wedding at the Garrett Residence in Bahama.

Anthony and Pamela Nichols of Durham would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Brittney J. Nichols to Cedric R. Manns.
Brittney is from Durham and graduated from Southern High School in 2005 and currently attends North Carolina Central University. She works along side her parents at the Christian Prep. Academy. Cedric is from Winston-Salem. He graduated from Glen High School in 2000 and North Carolina Central in 2004 with a BA in Business and Audio/Video productions. He is currently an entrepreneur within the entertainment industry.
A February 14, 2009 wedding is planned at the Brier Creek Country Club.
