Fall favorites at the Carolina Theatre

After the performance of humorist John Hodgman on Sept. 5, the Carolina Theatre, 309 W. Morgan St. has a full schedule of comedy, concerts and other shows this fall. Here are some highlights:
-- Contemporary blues with Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band on Sept. 11.
-- Longtime bluesman Keb’ Mo’ on Sept. 18.
-- Singer Esperanza Spaulding returns to Durham during a short tour, for a performance with Leo Genovese and Lyndon Rochelle on Oct. 6.
-- Grammy-winning singer Macy Gray performs on Oct. 14.
-- Los Lobos celebrates the 25th anniversary of Grammy-winning Spanish album “La Pistola y El Corazón” by performing it live on Oct. 24.
-- New Orleans musicians Allen Toussaint and Preservation Hall Jazz Band perform together on Nov. 6.
-- Comedian and actor Christopher Titus performs on Nov. 7.
-- Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood bring their unique collaborative sound for a concert on Dec. 8.
-- A cappella women ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock will perform Dec. 18.
