BLOUNT-BIBBS
Mrs. Carolyn Ruffin Blount of Durham wishes to announce the engagement of her daughter, Joy Kheitta Blount to Cory Edwards Bibbs, son of Mrs. Emma Ellis, of Muskegon, Michigan.
Joy is a computer teacher at Jordan High School in Durham, and Cory is an assembly builder in Muskegon, Michigan.
A December wedding is being planned. The couple will reside in Michigan.

Hockaday-Brooks
David and Susan Hockaday from Creedmoor would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Teri Leigh Hockaday to Brent Joseph Brooks, son of Manny and Kris Brooks of Stem.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, October 25 on the beach at the Outer Banks.
Teri is a 2007 graduate of South Granville High School and is employed at Butner Creedmoor Family Medicine.
Brent is employed at Triangle Collision.

Williams-McNair
Sgt. Errol L. Meggett and Mrs. Cynthia Meggett, of Seoul, Korea, announce the engagement of their daughter, Justine N. Williams, to Reginald E. McNair.
The bride-elect attended Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga. She is currently a student at Durham Technical Community College. She is employed by the Herald Sun.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. Henry P. McNair and Ms. Tanzy McNair, both of Durham. He attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He is employed by Duke University Medical Center as a Decedent Care Representative.
They plan a June wedding at Duke Chapel in Durham.

 ANNIVERSARY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Crabtree
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Douglas Crabtree of Hillsborough celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 27, 2008 with family.
Hosts and hostesses were Richard Crabtree, Candace C. Sadler and Gregory Crabtree.
The couple has three children, Richard D. Crabtree of Chapel Hill, Candace C. Sadler with husband, Paul of Creedmoor and Gregory P. Crabtree of Hillsborough.
The two were married September 27, 2008 at Mt. Bethel Presbyterian Church in Durham.

Ruffin
Frederick and Patricia Ruffin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Lyon Park Senior Center on Saturday, September 20, 2008.
The event was hosted by their three children, Deborah, Frederick Jr. (Vanessa) and Michael (Artina).
The couple has seven grandchildren, Lamont (Natalie), Kiah (14), Tabitha (12), LaTosha (12), Tiffany, Julian (eight) and LaShaun (eight) and a special nephew, Rev. Madison K. Daniel (Lorna, Madison Jr., Loren).
The couple were married on September 28, 1958 at the old Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Durham by Dr. William Fuller.
