Exercise, but also respect the heat

Jun 16, 2008

It will be around the middle of June when you read this column. In all probability, it will be hot, but not as hot as this day in early June as I write this. The temperature today was over 100 degrees. Not always the best of planners, I decided to do a little yard work. By the time I had pulled some weeds, trimmed some bushes and watered the flowers, my shirt was soaked with sweat, and I only spent about an hour and a half outside. Oh well, it is only June, with the hotter months of July and August waiting around the corner for us, ready to turn up the heat even more.
