Luc Velazquez

Ronald McDonald House of Durham

Volunteer for one year

As a Junior Volunteer, Luc Velazquez helped during one of the busiest times, last summer. He gave tours, entered data, cleaned, organized, sorted pop tabs, answered the phones and helped in many other ways.  Accomplishing multiple jobs without someone looking over his shoulder helped the staff tremendously so the staff could concentrate on the families’ needs.

The Ronald McDonald House opened an expansion and the workload could not have been completed without volunteers like Luc. According to Holly Hutchinson, volunteer coordinator, “Luc was always dependable, reliable and excited to help.” He even started a group at his high school that supports the House.

Thank you, Luc, for your commitment to the Ronald McDonald House. Your spirit of volunteerism will serve you well as you graduate and then enter college in the fall!
