-- The next General Volunteer Orientation is March 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Representatives from Crayon2Calculators and the John Avery Boys & Girls Clubs will be on hand. (700 W. Main St, Durham)

-- Festival 2013 is underway  until March 24. Come and answer calls in the studio from contributors who support UNC-TV's programming.

-- Do you have a few hours several days a week? Help out with clerical tasks at the Department of Social Services on Main Street. File, scan and put in ABC order.

-- Compassionate people are needed to help out in the Surgical Waiting Rooms of Duke Hospital.

-- We’re gearing up for the Great Human Race scheduled for April 6. If you would like to benefit almost 100 non-profits at one time, help the Volunteer Center for a few hours that Saturday morning.

-- Organize a Wish List Drive in your neighborhood, club or place of worship. The SECU Family House serves families who are here for medical treatment.
