The Cookery, Durham’s culinary incubator, and The Durham Spirits Company, which is located in a historic Durham home and fitted with a commercial kitchen, offer classes as well with topics ranging from dim sum to pasta to mixology. The Real Life Cooking School at The Kitchen Specialist is the newest on the scene, offering classes at their design studio on University Drive.
Sur La Table and Williams-Sonoma, both at The Streets at Southpoint, also host in-store cooking classes often taught by local chefs. Pinnacle Culinary Arts Institute teaches six-course mastery courses in essential skills like braising & pan frying, broiling & sautéing, roasting & pureeing and more.
