Check out ways to volunteer on www.handsontriangle.org or contact Lynn Odom at 919-613-5105.

-- Do you know a little bit of Spanish? Discuss one-on-one with a Hispanic immigrant in English about articles in the newspaper or a favorite hobby in the Bilingual Exchanger Program at Pilgrim UCC on Wednesdays from 7:30-9 pm.

-- Help a teen mother by driving her to DSS or home for an important parent training on April 11 or 18. Drivers are needed at 3 p.m. and 5:15 pm to pick up or take home. Contact Nancy at (919) 681-1835.

-- Would you like to help save the planet? If you have an engineering background, help make waste reduction and water and energy assessments in central and eastern North Carolina. Travel expenses are reimbursed.

-- Needed: Websurfer with a purpose! Research significant but lesser known dates in Durham and U.S. civic history to help us create the first ever Kids Voting Durham calendar.

-- Help clean and refurbish computers for needs children any Wednesday night at Kramden Institute. Contact Cari at (919) 293-1133.

-- This isn’t your typical resale shop. The Paws4Ever ReSale Store caters to animal lovers! Help is needed in stocking shelves and helping customers. All proceeds benefit the care and programs for animals. (111 Antique St., Hillsborough)

-- Are you interested in tutoring adult learners? The Durham Literacy Center needs YOU! Adults are both English speaking and English as a Second Language.
