Jim Baker

Threshold Clubhouse

Volunteer for two years

Jim Baker, a veteran of the Vietnam War, knows the meaning of service. As the ”go-to-guy” for all things technical or mechanical, he has improved Threshold’s computer capabilities and their abilities to transport members to their places of employment through their Transitional Employment program.

By dedicating his time to the clubhouse, volunteering 40-plus hours a week, Jim has helped out immensely. For budgetary reasons, several vacancies have gone unfilled.

Jim’s willingness to pitch in has saved money and provided a cushion of support.  Jim is “compassionate, intelligent, kind-hearted” and demonstrates great patience when showing the members of Threshold Clubhouse how to do things, especially involving computers.

Jim, thanks for going the extra mile to help out Threshold Clubhouse and sharing your time with others.
