-- The next General Volunteer Orientation is Monday from 5 p.m to 6 p.m. in the Honeysuckle Conference Room across the street from the Volunteer Center office. -- Veterans Helping Veterans of America needs volunteers to help with their food pantry and other services to veterans.
-- Are you an amateur photographer? Arc of Durham needs someone to take pictures during their Valentine Dance on Feb. 15.
-- Come be a companion for a senior at Pettigrew Assisted Living. Play games, give manicures, read aloud, make someone’s day a little brighter. (1515 W. Pettigrew St.)
-- Feb. 1, is the deadline for anyone interested in applying to volunteer for Camp ReLEAF, a camp for K-8 grade students who have lost a loved one.
-- Are you interested in out-of-the-box thinking? Odyssey of the Mind needs volunteers to be judges for their tournament on Feb. 9 and March 2. It’s a great way to see what new things our youth are coming up with!
-- Are you a dog lover? Paws4Ever needs dog walkers. Share an hour of your day with one of these special creatures.
-- Are you interested in learning or do you have experience in event management? Help out in the office with the planning of Tour de Cure with the American Diabetes Association. The event is May 18-19
