Volunteer of the Week
Museum of Life and Science
Volunteer for 15 years
As an animal keeper assistant at the Museum of Life and Science, Annie Goldberg takes care of the education animals -- feeding them, cleaning them and helping with record keeping, especially during veterinary sedations and surgeries. What makes her stand out is her longstanding commitment to the museum.
In the words of her supervisor, Sherry Samuels, “Annie’s continued and constant presence sets her apart from every current volunteer we work with.” Annie is acutely sensitive to the needs of the animals, has valuable and unusual technical skills and is the go-to person when new volunteers need to be trained. Day after day and year after year, she helps the animals she cares for, the fellow keepers she works with, and the hundreds of thousands of people who visit the museum each year.
Thank you, Annie Goldberg, for your extraordinary skill and devotion!
