Carolina Ale House raised $22,000 for the Carolina Hurricanes Kids ‘N Community Foundation (KNCF) during the 2013 Hearts for the Hurricanes campaign.

All 11 North Carolina-based Carolina Ale House (CAH) restaurants were challenged to sell hearts and magnets to benefit KNCF during the month of February.  This year’s totals exceed last year’s donation by nearly $1,000.  “This kind of gift makes a great impact in the communities in which Carolina Ale Houses are located,” said Doug Warf, vice president of marketing for the Carolina Hurricanes and executive director of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.

“We hope to add another $6,000 to this year’s donation through Points for Kids,” said Doug Besser, director of operations of Carolina Ale House. Points for Kids is a program in which Carolina Ale House donates $100 for each point the Canes earn in the standings.

Carolina Ale House has a Durham location in the South Square area.
