-- Meals on Wheels of Durham is  increasing the number of people they feed,  as there is an increased need for services as the population ages. Drivers are needed. Arrive between 10 a.m.-10:30 a.m. to deliver hot meals to clients in your own car.  Allow 1-1 ½ hours for delivery.

-- Help as a Greeter or in the Canteen! The Red Cross needs volunteers for fixed and mobile sites in Durham and Orange Counties.

-- Do you have any expertise in herbs? The InterFaith Food Shuttle needs a volunteer herbalism instructor.

-- Or help a heart transplant recipient by assisting with the Tour d’Orange Cycling Event on Aug. 2 in Hillsborough.

-- Males are needed as Friendly Visitors and Big Sibs. Senior men and boys need your help! Call John Rich if interested, 919-681-1835 or john@thevolunteercenter.org.

-- On Aug. 9, Student Action with Farmworkers is having an End of the Summer Celebration at ATC. Help make this event a success for pitching in and setting up for the event, serving food or cleaning up.

-- Kidzu Children's Museum is a hands-on museum dedicated to inspiring young children (0-8 years) and the adults in their lives to learn through play. Become an Event Assistant.      

-- Make life easier for the homeless and the staff at the InterFaith Council of Social Service.  Volunteers are needed to assist staff with resident operations and help with guest needs.
