-- The Volunteer Center’s next General Volunteer Orientation will be Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Artspace. Reps from Artspace, Animalkind and PLM Families Together will be there to share how they utilize volunteers. (201 E. Davie St., Raleigh)

-- Do you value UNC TV programming? Help staff the phones on the weekends during Festival 2014. Bring friends or family! The telethon runs from now until March 23. 4 shifts: 7:30-11:30 p.m., 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., 2:30-7 p.m., 6-11:30 p.m..

-- Be a part of this year’s Clean-Up-a-Thon on Lake Jordan set for March 15 from 9 a.m. -1 p.m.
