Volunteer of the Week
Duke HomeCare & Hospice
Volunteer for 12 years
Sue Graham’s kind sensitivity to the needs of the community and her quiet leadership by example make her an outstanding volunteer. She is the face of hospice during her shifts at Meadowlands, an inpatient facility. Working with the staff, together they make such a difference during a very trying time for families.
A hard worker, she is excellent at delegating tasks to other volunteers in order to accomplish a project in the most efficient way. She never leaves a project until completion. Sue also helps with registration and special events at Camp ReLEAF, a bereavement camp for children. Her empathy and organizational skills help bring calmness to any situation.
Sue Graham, thank you for years of service and leadership! The ability to empathize with others during end-of-life issues is a special gift.
