-- Would you like to help transform Oakwood Park into a brand-new playground and park for children and adults? Help out on Thursday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m or Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
-- Start your weekend early and find out how you can help out at the Ronald McDonald House -- First Friday Tours, Nov. 1, 3 pm.
-- Come and help keep Durham Central Park be the best place in Durham! Pitch in on Nov. 2. from 9 a.m. to noon.
-- Do you enjoy interacting with children? The Lincoln Community Health Center wants to re-open the pediatric playroom from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
-- Would you like to make a positive change in the lives of children or adults? Help out at the Birchwood Learning Center.
-- Are you interested in helping out at UNC Health Care? Volunteers are needed in the ICU Waiting Room -- both permanent positions and substitutes.
-- Could you step in and speak up for a neglected or abused child in court? Become a Guardian Ad Litem for Durham, Orange or Chatham Counties.
-- Have a Wish List Drive for the SECU House! They have certain items that are consumed every day. This is a great opportunity for a group or club.
-- Would you like to help the animals at the Paws4Ever animal shelter, but don't want to get attached? Help out at the Pasw4Ever ReSale Store! The store is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
-- Do you speak Spanish? Help the advocates at the Compass Center with clients who speak Spanish and find themselves in a violent or crisis situation.
