-- To learn about the work of Urban Ministries and see where you might like to help, attend a Volunteer Orientation on June 25 at 5:30 p.m. (410 Liberty St., Durham)

-- The Scrap Exchange needs help on a regular schedule with general organizing, sorting and packaging as well as general cleaning, sweeping, and tidying.

-- Wonder what DERC is all about? Participate in a tour coming up June 30 at 11 a.m.  (118 Hunt St.)

-- DERC also is looking for folks to tutor their clients so they will be ready to take the GED.

-- Would you like to do something to help a cancer patient? ACS needs volunteers to drive patients to medical appointments.

-- MusicianCorps seeks talented and dynamic individuals with a proven track record in musicianship and community leadership to serve as MusicianCorps Artists in the Triangle this fall .

-- Carolina Villages needs kind-hearted, occasional volunteers to help older adults in Chapel Hill and Carrboro remain in their own homes as long as possible. 

-- Would you like to help put food in the hands of the hungry? Then become a volunteer with Heavenly Groceries! (510 W. Rosemary St., Chapel Hill )

-- Greeters and receptionists help out on the front end of the Interfaith Council of Social Services. Answer the phone and greet walk-ins.
