-- Are you interested in science? Find out how you can help out at the Museum of Life and Science.  Attend a New Volunteer Orientation Thursday from 2-3 pm. (433 Murray Ave.)

-- The Diaper Bank of NC receives donations of large boxes of diapers. Help them wrap the diapers into smaller units on Thursday afternoons from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Calvary UMC. (304 E. Trinity Ave.)

-- Would you like to do something to commemorate 9/11? Activate Raleigh has projects available in Durham. To check out the needs, go to http://activategood.org/activateraleigh

-- Summer is almost over, but swimming assistants are still needed. The Town of Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation needs help teaching swimming to children with disabilities.

-- TABLE needs volunteers to help with a hunger relief program in Orange County beginning Sept. 15.

-- Are you an amateur photographer with your own camera? The Volunteer Center needs a photographer to take pictures of Mayor’s Award students with Mayor Bell on Sept. 24 and 26 from 5-7 p.m.
