-- Help out at the Share Your Christmas Distribution Center this week. Gifts will be picked up by social workers at our location at Northgate Mall. Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. through Friday. Shifts available.
-- Childcare volunteers are needed for an energy assessment workshop to help people learn how to save energy and money on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hayti Heritage Center.
-- Do you have admin skills? Help out in the office of The Land Loss Prevention Project so that the staff can use their time more efficiently. Their office is near the Downtown YMCA and the Durham Center for Senior Life.
-- Or if you live in northern Durham, share your admin skills at the Hock Family Pavilion or the Duke HomeCare & Hospice office.
-- Carolina Villages needs kind-hearted, occasional volunteers to help older adults in Chapel Hill and Carrboro remain in their own homes as long as possible. Basic help includes things like changing a light bulb, moving a piece of furniture or driving a senior to an appointment.
-- CWS is looking for people to adopt a refugee and buy school supplies for the students. Contact Kelly at (919) 680-4310.
-- Durham First In Families needs help moving gifts to the location of the Holiday Party for its families Friday and Saturday and during the event on Saturday.
-- Be an Angel Tree Distribution Elf for the Salvation Army! Volunteers are needed Dec. 16-20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
