-- Are you a retired educator? Or do you have experience creating educational activities for K-5? Help create curriculum/activities and labs for a K-5 Global Science exchange. 

-- Give the gift of life or help others do it! Volunteer to help at the 25th Carolina Blood Drive June 4. Appointments all day long at the Dean Smith Center, Chapel Hill.

-- Book Harvest now has its own space. Come help sort books on Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons.

-- Have you thought about helping the Ronald McDonald House? Come for the First Friday Tour at 3:30 p.m. June 7, and see the new expansion.

-- Are you into music? Find out how you can help with Girls Rock summer camps at their Volunteer Orientation June 9 at 3 p.m.

-- Do you have children or grandchildren between the ages of 12-18? It’s not too late to register for the Mayor’s Award. Youth volunteer at least 100 hours at area non-profits. Contact Adrienne Clark, (919) 684-9690.

-- Do you enjoy seniors? Help out with activities on the weekend at Carolina Point, Uni-Health Post Acute Care.

-- Would you like to spend a week in the Dominican Republic? The Global Leadership Institute is taking a study tour – stay in the homes of locals and visit the site of historic murals. A great opportunity for homeschoolers.
