-- All elementary, middle and high schools will need proctors for end-of-grade tests beginning in mid-May. Give a few hours to serve our local teachers and students. Call any school near you for more details.

-- Be a part of an inter-faith youth movement to transform divided societies into communities of peace. Assist in data entry and communication for Kids4Peace.

-- Help teach kids the importance of voting! Help Kids Voting Durham on May 6 at a precinct near you from 3:30-7 p.m.

-- Become a Parent Supporter to new mothers with Welcome Baby by calling them weekly.

-- Help clean up Durham Central Park  May 3, 9 a.m.-noon.

-- Did you know that you could help pet adoptions by hanging out at the Southpointe Mall? Help Paw4Ever raise $1,000+ during the Belk Charity Day Sale! Patrons buy $5 discount tickets and get $5 off a purchase at Belk.

-- Be a camp counselor at the ArtsCenter during their ArtsCamp this summer. Application deadline is May 2.

-- Have you been affected by teen suicide? Help with Skate for Life, a fund-raiser for HopeLine, on May 17 at Marsh Creek Skate Park.
