-- Celebrate July 4th on the 2nd with some of our newest neighbors! Bring food, games or help transport our refugees from other apartment complexes.
-- Pitch in and help with the July 4th Children’s Parade at Durham’s Central Park! Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. - noon.
-- Math tutors are needed at the Durham Rescue Mission. Times available are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 2-5 p.m. and Friday 4-7 p,m. Help someone pass the GED.
-- Would you like to volunteer as a couple? Friendly Visitors are needed for a disabled couple.
-- Do you have medical expertise? Grace Lutheran Church needs people to take blood pressures, heart rates, etc. at a health screening in October.
-- Help implement a donation program for Independent Animal Rescue placing barrels at grocery stores, vet offices, and pet stores. Then pick up and take to the storage unit.
-- Can you provide a welcoming and helpful atmosphere? Come be a First Response Volunteer at the Compass Center.
