Want to volunteer? Here are some opportunities

-- The Great Human Race, set for March 29 at Northgate Mall, needs volunteers to help that morning. One event helps almost 100 non-profits. Contact Tammy Dorfman at tamdorf@aol.com.

-- Do you have some free time on Wed. nights? Do you speak some Spanish? Converse with Latino immigrants on an informal basis. (Pilgrim UCC, Academy Road.)

-- Do you like doing administrative type work? Help the Welcome Baby Resource Center in the office on Wednesday mornings.

-- Do you have experience writing grants? Help with grant research and proposal writing for the Congo Initiative remotely from your home.

-- Would you like to influence 13-18 year olds through baseball? Durham Triple Play needs coaches, concession workers, score keepers and announcers. Season begins 4/12.
