Since 2008, the Durham Performing Arts Center, or DPAC, has quickly grown into an established cultural landmark for superstar entertainment.  DPAC is the largest performing arts center between Atlanta and Philadelphia and boasts more than 2,700 seats.  It is one of the most highly attended venues; Pollstar Magazine typically ranks DPAC in the top five in the country.

Consistently listed as one of the best places for live entertainment in the Triangle area, DPAC has been recognized by The Herald-Sun and Independent Weekly readers for five consecutive years.  It has also received two Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel and destination website.

Hailed for its aesthetics, crisp acoustics and excellent sightlines, DPAC has won numerous design awards including honors from the N.C. American Institute of Architects, Golden Leaf, Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women and Architectural Woodwork Institute

In its first five seasons DPAC has sold out more than 150 shows, presented more than 520 ticketed events and hosted over 1 million guests. The SunTrust Broadway at DPAC 2012-2013 season boasted over 10,000 Season Seat Members and has become one of America’s biggest Broadway subscription series.

Insider Tip: For devoted DPAC goers, DPAC has a program called “Friends of DPAC” where fans can sign up to receive emails with new show announcements, special online ticket offers and more.
