3 Eagle Scouts inducted at St. Joseph A.M.E. Church

Boy Scout Troop 137, of St. Joseph A.M.E. Church, 2521 Fayetteville St., presented the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Evan Eaton, Matthew Foster and Myles Braswell-Sample on Aug. 9.  During this ceremony, Troop 137 inducted Foster, Eaton and Braswell-Sample as Eagle Scouts 23, 24 and 25.

Matthew Foster, Eagle #23, is a rising junior at UNC-Wilmington, where he is majoring in exercise science.  Matthew is also a member of the UNCW track team, specializing in hurdles and relay events.

Airman First Class Evan Eaton is Eagle #24.  Evan is a 2013 graduate of Hillside High School and has just completed his training at the Department of Defense Fire Academy, Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas. He will continue his military service in the Air Force Reserves while pursuing a civilian career in firefighting.  Evan also has achieved the distinction of being the third sibling in his family to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.

Myles Braswell-Sample is Eagle #25.  Myles is a rising sophomore at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he is a member of the 2013-14 South Atlantic Conference (SAC) championship football team and the track team.  Myles is a business major with a concentration in international business.
