Riverside’s Rapids perform for Woman’s Club

Dec. 28, 2013 @ 12:39 PM

Durham Woman’s Club members were delighted by the Rapids Chorus from Riverside High School at their December meeting at the Hill House. The group of 30 students led by director Jill Boliek sang a collection of Christmas carols a cappella.

The club adopted 15 clients of Durham Meals on Wheels and bought Christmas gifts for them. Pet food and canned/boxed food items were also donated to be used by seniors. Liz Goodwin, chair of the Home Life Community Service Projects, led this project and will deliver the items to DMOW.

Names of loved ones were read during a candlelight service. Members donate money in honor or memory of loved ones each year.

The next meeting will be Jan. 9. Any woman interested in attending can contact Lynn Odom at momof3knights@nc.rr.com.
