DURHAM -- Are you ready for the storm yet?
If not, emergency preparedness experts recommend taking steps now. Most experts say that families and neighbors should know how to contact and rendezvous with each other in case of trouble; get fresh batteries for their flashlights and radios; stockpile water and food to last at least three days; stock up on necessary medication; get full tanks of gas for automobiles and generators; and withdraw enough cash to last through an extensive power outage.
