Bullying workshop set for March 9
A workshop for people interested in learning about bullying and how to prevent it will be held at the Freedom House Recovery Center in Chapel Hill on March 9.
“The ABC’s of Bullying,” will be facilitated by LaTesha McIntosh from A Peace of Mind Counseling.
Participants will learn the differences in bullying techniques between boys and girls, types of bullying, risk factors and legal and ethical issues. They’ll also receive an overview of bullying and learn about the ways that people are bullying others, learn why children are bullied and learn strategies to reduce or eliminate bullying behaviors.
The program begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs to 11:30 a.m. Freedom Houses Recovery Center is located at 102 New Stateside Drive.
The program is free, but small donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of expenses.
