Womancraft to hold grand opening: Womancraft Handcrafted Gifts is holding a grand opening event to celebrate its new location in Carrboro at the 300 East Main.

The celebration will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the store, which is now at 370 E. Main St., Suite 170, in Carrboro.

Womancraft’s store was destroyed by last year’s flooding in Chapel Hill and re-opened after a month-long clean-up and recovery. It has since moved from its location in Chapel Hill.

WomanCraft is an all-local self-sustaining co-op of over 70 artisans. We offer fine handcrafted jewelry, pottery, art, textiles, clothing, art glass, and more.

The grand re-opening celebration will include refreshments and free Chapel Hill Toffee.

Billsborough on the move: The live music venue Billsborough is moving within the town of Hillsborough to a bigger space in the North Hills strip shopping center at 652 N. Churton St.

Owner Bill West said the location has more space to accommodate bigger acts, and also has more parking. Previously, the live music hall was located in the town’s historic district. Its last day of business at that location was Dec. 31.

The re-opening date has not been set yet.

St. Patrick’s at Radius: Hillsborough’s Radius Pizzeria & Pub will remain open on Monday, March 17, to serve a special St. Patrick’s Day menu, the restaurant and bar has announced. Normally, the business is closed on Mondays.

The restaurant will have a price-fixed menu of Irish fare. Chef Mike Carroll said in a news release that he was still finalizing the menu, but was planning to feature house-smoked sea trout, lamb riblets, and colcannon potatoes.

“This menu won’t have any of our regular menu items; it will be all authentic Irish cuisine -- a little more refined than pub food,” Carroll said in a prepared statement in the release.

The restaurant will also be offering Irish whiskeys, North Carolina beers, wine, and Guinness. There will be live musicians playing Irish jigs and reels. The weekend prior, the restaurant will be serving authentic Irish fare of shepherd’s pie, Irish bacon and cabbage, and traditional Irish stew.
