Chapel Hill student selected as Phillips Ambassador
Kou Xu, a senior biology and Asian studies double major at UNC-Chapel Hill, was selected as a Phillips Ambassador this spring and has been studying in Kunming, China, this summer with the School for International Training’s Community Heath and Traditional Chinese Medicine program.
The Phillips Ambassadors scholarship program is designed to broaden awareness of Asia on and off campus. The scholarship combines an award for study in Asia with an academic course that challenges students to share their experiences upon their return.
Phillips Ambassadors are chosen twice each year. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievement and commitment to activities, service and leadership roles in the classroom and community.
