Garden Tour donates record proceeds
The Chapel Hill Spring Garden Tour brought in record proceeds to the Children’s Wonder Garden project at the N.C. Botanical Garden.
With $28,000 the tour brought in more than it has since its inception in 1996.
“We are so fortunate to have the support of the Chapel Hill Garden Club over these many years,” said Peter White, director of the Botanical Garden. “Their work to help advance the development of the Wonder Garden is outstanding. That club is a force of nature and we treasure them as a wonderful part of our community.”
The Chapel Hill Garden Club has donated $168,000 to the N.C. Botanical Garden. This year’s funds will go to the creation of the Children’s Wonder Garden, a space where children can engage and explore the natural world throughout interactive outdoor areas.
This year’s tour included nine gardens including the N.C. Botanical Garden and the Carolina Campus Community Garden.
