LeShawndra Nyrae Price and Edgar Myron Freeman were married March 23, 2013 at Lansdowne Resort and Spa in Leesburg, VA. The Reverend Douglas Maven of First AME Zion Church in Paterson, NJ officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Lawrence “Eddie” and Marva Price of Fearrington Village, Pittsboro. She is a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and Wake Forest University. She completed a doctoral degree in developmental psychology at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is a Health Scientist Administrator at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
The groom is the son of Mr. Aaron Freeman and the late Mary Geter Freeman of Teaneck, NJ. He graduated from Teaneck High School in Teaneck, NJ and Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, and holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Baltimore. He is a Program Monitor in the Division of Community Development, Bergen County, NJ.
Matron of honor was Lebbonee Price Kittredge of San Francisco, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Yalaunda Thomas Barrier of Chicago, Patricia Chen of Teaneck, NJ, Dedra Eatmon of Lansing, MI, Nikki Rogers of Alexandria, VA, and Monique White of Apex.
Best man was Hassan Freeman of Reston, VA, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Jermaine DeLeon of Manassas Park, VA, Andre Jackson of White Plains, MD, Chris James of East Orange, NJ, Tracey Tullie of Charlotte, and Dan Watley of Passaic, NJ. Ushers were Chris Cox of Lorton, VA, Clayton Reynolds of Germantown, MD, and Roderick Wright, Jr. of Charlotte.
A cocktail hour and brunch reception followed the ceremony at Lansdowne Resort and Spa. Hostesses were Angel Taylor Berry of Apex, Kelly Thompson of Greensboro, Diane Scott-Jones of Burtonsville, MD, and Diane Webster of Chapel Hill.
Following wedding trips to Cape May, NJ and the Caribbean, the couple will live in Gaithersburg, MD.
