’Que to open in spring
New restaurants at Diamond View III: The planned new downtown barbecue restaurant ’Que -- from Pitmaster Ed Mitchell -- is opening this spring, according to an emailed statement from Mark Stanford, director of real estate development for the American Tobacco campus.
The restaurant is opening in the new Diamond View III building, the office building with ground-floor retail shops built to overlook the Durham Bulls Athletic Park across from the American Tobacco campus.
The new building is also slated to house a location of Moe’s Southwest Grill and the sandwich shop Which Wich Superior Sandwiches.
For Garden’s Sake: For Garden’s Sake, a nursery on N.C. 751 in Durham, is holding a spring festival on April 12.
There will be garden presentations, local garden vendors, live music, and sales from the Will & Pop’s food truck and Chez Moi Bakery at the festival.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For information, visit www.fgsnursery.com.
