Shiki renovation complete: Durham's Shiki Sushi Asian Bistro, Sushi & Bar is now open and operating under its new name, Tasu Asian Bistro, Sushi & Bar, in the neighboring, renovated space at the Homestead Market shopping center off N.C. 54 near its intersection with Fayetteville Road.
As The Buzz reported back on Feb. 6, Shiki Sushi’s owner planned to move the restaurant and to change the name to Tasu Asian Bistro, Sushi & Bar. That’s also the name of two restaurants the owner opened in Raleigh and in Cary.
Owner Tham Nguyen said in the previous interview that the move was planned to pave the way for the opening of an Asian fondue, or hot pot, concept in the old Shiki space.
