Buzz: More development for Erwin Terrace
Next phase of Erwin Terrace proposed: A third phase of the Erwin Terrace mixed-use development along Erwin Road near Duke University Hospital is targeted to be constructed by the fall of next year, according to a leasing agent for the project.
The third phase is expected to include both office and retail space, according to a news release from Cushman & Wakefield/Thalhimer, which was been chosen as the leasing agent for the project.
Erwin Terrace is at the intersection of Erwin Road and LaSalle Street. The development currently has 126,904 square feet of space for offices, restaurants and apartments. It’s the home of businesses including Six Plates Wine Bar, Nosh, and Sushi Love.
Business gears up to sell N.C. food gift boxes: A Durham-based business called N.C. MADE has made its online debut, selling gift boxes filled with North Carolina food products.
The gift boxes are sold online, and are also expected to be sold at The Makery in Durham. For information, go to its website http://www.ncmade.net/.
The availability of local food sold online has been expanding, from the online grocer Relay Foods that launched in Durham recently, to Heirloom Provisions, which is dedicated to selling food and artisanal products from the Southeast online.
