Lilly Pulitzer to open in June at Southpoint: The new Lilly Pulitzer women’s clothing store at The Streets at Southpoint is slated to open June 19.
The 2,215-square-foot store will be located on the first floor of the mall near the mall’s Vera Bradley, Caché, and Sperry Top-Sider locations.
Lilly Pulitzer is a brand that dates to 1959, when Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau started a juice stand in Palm Beach, Fla. Her line of colorfully printed clothing launched after she had a dress made with colorfully printed cotton to hide dress stains on her clothing, according to the Lilly Pulitzer website. She died this year.
The clothing line is now one of the brands of the publicly traded, global apparel company Oxford Industries Inc., which also designs, sources and distributes products of its brands including Tommy Bahama, Oxford Golf and Arnold Brant.

Update on burger restaurant at Westpoint at 751: The new restaurant that’s planned to open at the Westpoint at 751 development off N.C. 751 near The Streets at Southpoint is now planned to be named Town Hall Burger and Beer.
The development also includes the Bonefish Grill seafood dinner restaurant, the Aldi grocery store and a completed office building. The owners of the fast-casual restaurant Town Hall Burger and Beer hope to open the eatery in June.
David Sadeghi, a partner in the restaurant with retired NFL football player Adalius Thomas, said the building is finished and the signs are up, but they need to complete the interior build-out.
“We are very excited about it, but we are still about a month out,” Sadeghi said.
Previously, Sadeghi said the eatery was planned to be named Java Burger Bar. It was planned to serve coffee and breakfast food, as well as burgers.
They changed the name because the two are also partners in another restaurant at Southern Village called Town Hall Grill. In addition, Sadeghi also operates the Raleigh restaurant Bolt Bistro & Bar that’s owned by Thomas.
He said they plan to serve hamburgers as well as other items including chicken, tuna, salmon and four to five different salads. He said they may serve breakfast.
