Downtown condos: Construction has been underway since Jan. 31 on the new downtown condominium development Church + Main.

Project developer and architect Scott Harmon said in an email that the site demolition, foundation and other work is ongoing, and it is likely to be a few weeks before any vertical framing goes up.

Construction is expected to last through early December, but Harmon said he already has contracts on six of the eight condos in the building.

The two remaining condos include a two-bedroom, 1,464-square-foot unit selling for $473,900, and a 1,667-square-foot unit selling for $536,900. Garage spaces are another $28,000 each.

Harmon said that for the other units, contracts are confidential, but they’re generally in-line with the prices on the remaining units.

The project is under development at 126 and 130 E. Main St. on a vacant lot next to a parking deck.

The development is also slated to include a PDQ, a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers restaurant, a Jimmy John’s and a Mattress Firm. PDQ is also expected to open in mid-March, Mattress Firm is targeted to open in mid-to-late March, and Jimmy John’s and Freddy’s are targeted to open in the summer.
