New deli at Brightleaf: A New York-style deli called Serrano Delicafe is holding a grand opening Monday in its location in Brightleaf Square.

The deli’s menu includes hot dogs as well as sandwiches ranging from the “All Points Bulletin” with chicken, turkey, Swiss cheese and honey mustard; to the house sandwich served with Serrano ham, provolone, tomato, olive oil and spices; to the “Bull City,” which has roast beef, turkey, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onions.
The bread is sourced from Durham’s Guglhupf Bakery, Restaurant & Café, and from downtown’s Loaf bakery. Owner Victor Serrano said he’ll also have Joe Van Gogh coffee, and meat from US Foods’ Metro Deli line.
It opens at 6 a.m. on Monday for the grand opening. The news of the opening was first reported by the author of the Triangle Food Guy blog. For information on the new deli, call 919-381-6407.
