Launch Chapel Hill information sessions offered

Oct. 25, 2013 @ 06:11 PM

Chapel Hill entrepreneurs can find out more about an accelerator program for businesses at sessions to be held Monday and Nov. 12.

The sessions are focused on Launch Chapel Hill, a business accelerator program that offers access to experts and mentors, broad networking opportunities, office space, and the opportunity to work with 10 to 15 other start-ups.

Participants are charged $1,495 for the 22-week program, or $272 a month. That includes rent, access to parking and programming. Scholarships are available.

The information sessions will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday and Nov. 12 at the Launch Chapel Hill office at 321 W. Rosemary St.

The sessions coincide with the application period for the next accelerator program, which will run 22 weeks from Jan. 6 to June 6, 2014. Applications will be accepted through Nov. 22. Information on the application process can be found at www.launchchapelhill.com.

Launch, which opened in May, was an investment of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the town of Chapel Hill, Orange County, Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership and the Becker family. The Beckers provided initial funding in memory of their daughter Cara.

Triangle Office Equipment, Three Birds Marketing, and New Media Campaigns also provided support.
