Nature Conservancy CEO to speak
DURHAM – The president of The Nature Conservancy will speak on Duke University’s campus Wednesday to discuss his new book “Nature’s Fortune: How Business and Society Thrive by Investing in Nature.”
Mark Tercek is president and CEO of the conservancy, and he’s also a member of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions Board of Advisors, according to the institute’s website.
His talk at Duke is open to the public. It will start at 6 p.m. at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy at 201 Science Drive, Room 04.
The event is sponsored by the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, the Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and the Nicholas School of the Environment.
The Nature Conservancy is a conservation organization founded in 1951. Its North Carolina chapter is based in Durham. It also has satellite offices in Asheville, Southern Pines, Wilmington and Halifax.
The group has 27 employees in Durham, and 15 employees in the other locations.
