N.C. Economic Forecast Forum slated for Jan. 6

RALEIGH– The N.C. Bankers Association and N.C. Chamber will hold the 12th annual Economic Forecast Forum on Jan. 6 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham.

At the event, business and political leaders will discuss the future of the economy in the state, region and nation.  

The main session, co-sponsored by BB&T, BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina, Business North Carolina and Duke Energy, will feature a keynote address from Kelly King, chairman and CEO of BB&T.

Black Women in Business to host Dec. 10 program

DURHAM -- Black Women In Business, a group for black women leaders, will aim to help leaders plan how they will be successful leaders in 2014 at the December program, “Leadership Roadmapping for Success in 2014.”

The program will be held from 6 to 8 pm Dec. 10 at the Chocolate Boutique in Morrisville. 

In addition to program materials, registration includes a drink and chocolate.

Registration deadline is Dec. 6. The cost is $32 for an individual registration and $27 each for multiple registrations.
