N.C. Mutual hosts anti-fraud seminar
DURHAM – N.C. Mutual Life Insurance Co. will host an anti-fraud seminar at its Durham headquarters on Saturday in celebration of Life Insurance Awareness month.
The seminar is focused on the senior population and will focus on fraud, including identity theft, investment schemes and Medicare fraud, and on how to avoid fraudulent schemes, according to a news release.
“Our senior community has unique and increasingly complex financial needs,” James H. Speed, Jr., president and CEO of N.C. Mutual, said in a news release. “Unfortunately, they can often be the target of those seeking to profit through fraudulent means. At North Carolina Mutual, we pair the sale of our products with education that can help all individuals make the right choices.”
The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon. It is free and open to the public.
