N.C. tech job market shows more improvement
A N.C. Technology Association report released Thursday showed that average daily information technology job openings in North Carolina ticked up in April compared with March.
There was a daily average of 3,110 postings in the state in April, up 2.6 percent compared with March. However, the average was still down 21 percent compared with April of last year.
That’s according to the “N.C. IT Job Trends” report, prepared for the association by Henning Seip of SkillPROOF.
The report said labor demand bottomed out earlier this year, but IT job openings are now on the rise and the next months could “bring more positive changes.”
Technology job openings hit a two-year low in January, and then fell again in February, before ticking up in March.
