Washington Duke Inn appoints sales manager
DURHAM — The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club recently appointed Jon Campbell to sales manager, according to a news release.
Campbell joins the sales and marketing team at the inn that reports directly to Jack Schmidt, the new director of sales and marketing.
In his role, Campbell is responsible for developing new corporate accounts as well as working with groups and conferences that consistently book with the Inn year after year.
“Most recently, Campbell was the director of food and beverage at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, but his move to the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club is a return to his former home where he served as director of conference services from 2006 to 2010 so he’s returning to the inn with an even greater wealth of hospitality experiences,” Schmidt said in a statement.
The Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, AAA Four Diamond hotel, is on the campus of Duke University. It is one of 15 hotels in the Southern Living Hotel Collection.
