Rommel Harley-Davidson is holding a grand opening today through Sunday with demo rides, free food, giveaways and door prizes, a live radio broadcast and Performance Machine on-site.

The dealership, formerly Shelton’s Harley-Davidson, is at 300 Muldee Street, just off Rt . 70 at exit 286.  Rommel assumed operation of the dealership, which features motorcycle sales, parts and accessories, service, apparel and gifts, in early June.

“It’s an exciting opportunity,” company President Brad Hopkins said in a news release.  “We’re glad to be here in the Durham area,  and look forward to meeting and serving the local riding community.”

Members of the Durham H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group)  Chapter are serving food Saturday and Sunday.
