The International League will have a hometown guy making the decisions for next month’s Triple-A All-Star Game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Durham Bulls manager Charlie Montoyo will lead the International League All-Stars against the Pacific Coast League All-Stars on July 16 at the DBAP, the league announced Thursday.

This will be the second time Montoyo has managed the IL All-Stars. He also did the job in 2010, leading the IL to a 2-1 win over the PCL.

In his eighth season as the Bulls manager, Montoyo has led Durham to the postseason six times. He led the Bulls to the 2009 Triple-A national championship. Durham won the IL last season but lost 2-1 to Omaha in the one-game national final at Allentown, Pa.

Montoyo won his 600th game as Durham manager last Saturday night.

Bob Mariano, in his third season managing San Francisco’s Triple-A team in Fresno, will manage the PCL in the All-Star Game.

Rosters will be announced July 1-2.
