NCCU fires Frazier
North Carolina Central University on Thursday announced the firing of head football coach Henry Frazier III. Dwayne Foster, assistant head football coach, takes over as interim head coach.
Frazier's firing comes on the heels of his arrest earlier this week on a charge that he violated a domestic violence order.
A statement from the university indicated that the "personal issues Coach Frazier is facing have cause the university to shift its focus from the priorities of student-athletes, the Athletics Department and the university. NCCU does not condone alleged conduct or behaviors that are counter to the institution's culture of providing a nurturing environment that supports student learning and academic success."
